He has
worked on variety of product categories and has nursed a number of brands to mega
powerhouses. He has worked with agencies like Lintas- Bombay, responsible for
UniLever detergent products, Everest - Bombay, Mudra - Ahmedabad. Prior to setting
up of this venture, he was Director - Planning and Research at Mudra - Ahmedabad,
responsible for the Rasna Account. Then at Chennai, he headed the regional operations
of Interact which he merged with Vision.
At
IIM Ahmedabad, he along with Dr.S.V.Nathan closely interacted in the curriculum
activity, especially the Advertising module. He was also a visiting faculty at
B.K.School of Management, Ahmedabad handling Advertising classes for the IInd
year MBAs and also at ITM Chennai handling Integrated Marketing Communication
classes. He is an ardent student of behavioral science and marketing. He makes
regular contribution to various publications. Many of his articles like "Brand
Equity-Its values and linkages" and other strategic marketing are reprinted
in magazines like Industrial Economist etc. He also edits Equations' in-house
magazine Quest
which reflects its thinking vis-à-vis Global Business Issues.
His Vision of Equation is to be a unique organization which really nurtures
a brand. That he says should be done at all levels. Advertising is just a small
tool in the whole marketing dynamics. Equations will also be a home of serious
talents who are away from the glamour world , firmly rooted in practical realities.
